So today was my first day with the pen and pad thing. So I was messing around with it trying to learn and this is what I have done thus far.

Now I want to try to draw a horse on photo shop. His name is Barbaro and he was suspected to be the next triple crown winner but he broke his back leg and was later put to sleep.

 For my Ap Stat class we are supposed to turn in quotes for a poster that Mr. Richardson does every year. Well it started with Failing to Prepare is Preparing to Fail. Then I went out and searched for more positive quotes. And this is what I came up with. Today is a day for feeling better and working really hard to get something done. Believing in yourself is important and this should help.

I had a painting when I was around seven and it was of a fireplace and a tree well I was about to do the same thing with this and then I played with the fire and it was more fun than anything. So I just focused on the fire place. A family of two with a minimal decorations. A couple just starting out on life together is why there are only two. With a small plate of cookies. Very minimal there was to be a second part of the project a down the road type of project. To see where this family would have been in a few years. I do plan on making it but not for this project.

So yesterday I was hanging around with some of my friends and I over heard a conversation from a student and she was crying and was saying that she was important. I don't know who she is or what she looks like but this is for her. I know how it feels and there is a light at the end of ever tunnel. So this is something that means a lot to me.

Meri kurisumasu. Well sound it out and it will surely make since. Though its simple at the moment I want to make the present explode with detail and then place it under a Christmas tree. I was going to do something for Halloween but I decided it wasn't what I really wanted to do. Christmas is cherry and fun so why not make some art that is cherry and fun? Ho ho ho

11-01-10 I began a project on the halloween theme. Though it hasn't gone very far the idea hit me to late in the day. I plan on finishing it soon. I am really looking forward to seeing how it turns out!

Today I worked on a playbill for Smoky Hill's up coming play One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Though I havent been able to add some more fun stuff into it I am happy thus far with my work!

10-19-2010 And They Fought Till The Bitter End...

And it has been completed. Finally it comes together harmoniously. In my eyes a beautiful piece. Each horse has his or her name on him but it is faded into the picture. Jest enough so a viewer can see there might be something there and then find out what is says. This concept will be key in my next piece of hidden messages. This honestly I want to print out and frame it. The quote is good. And I really enjoy taking quotes and making a piece that I think fits the quote. So from now on I think I am going to go quote hunting and then construct around the quote.

Well now today was a very good day digital wise. The beginning of the end has come to pass. Three more horses to place and a background to apply. Thus far a wonder has struck the page. The bolts of lighting capturing the instances that these horses struck the American race fans. The bolt only appearing for seconds but the feeling it left you with lasts a life time and beyond. Today we have movies to capture the moments in a timeless loop. But to have actually seen it must have been a totally difference experience. That is why I dove into this piece heart first. For the best work comes from the heart, only to be perfected by the mind.

So today I want to take a turn for trying something a little new. I love racehorses and the horses I am placing in this piece are some of the best that have ever set hoof on the race tracks of America. I think they have earned something beautiful. And I have always wanted to toss them in the clouds with the rawr of the thunder at their feet.

So finally finished! It took a bit but it is finally done. It was challenging but I learned so many interesting things. God this is going to be truly a fun ride this year. I have so many ideas for the future. But the helmet is next and that one should be way to much fun. Thus far it is coming to me little by little. But then again I am taking my time to make sure things are correct!
